Installation of vMEyeSuper

Adding DVR to vMEyeSuper

Having the DVR Powered, a USB mouse connected to the DVR, Connected to a monitor, and Connected to the internet with Ethernet cable is required to proceed.

Verify Internet Connection (Screen Images may be different for different DVR models)

 At the live viewing screen on the DVR right click with your mouse to bring up a menu.

Click Main Menu on the Pop-up Menu to open the Main Menu

A login prompt will open. Enter login information and press OK to Login. The default username is admin and by default no password is used for system login. Click OK to Login.

The Main Menu is now open. Hover the mouse over Info icon and Click on info icon.

The Info Menu is now open. Click on Version to verify the DVR is connected to the Internet.

Now The Version information menu is open. If Net Status says Connected, then the DVR is connected to the internet and ready for remote viewing. Leave the DVR on this screen, SerialNo is needed later to connect your android to the DVR. If Net Status does not say Connected See step (7).

If Net Status does not say Connected, but says connecting then right click to go back one menu. Wait 30 seconds to allow the DVR to connect to the cloud. Click on Version again the verify net status is connected. If Net Status does not say Connected, double check make sure the Ethernet cable is connected securely to the Back of the DVR and your network router. If problems still persist change to a new Ethernet cable and reboot the DVR.

Adding Internet Connected DVR to vMEyeSuper

Tap on vMEyeSuper app to open vMEyeSuper on your android device.

Tap on device list to open the device list screen

Tap the + on the bottom left of vMEyeSuper to add a your DVR.

To connect with the Cloud SerialNo you must be outside the network that the DVR is connected to. You cannot connect with Cloud SerialNo if your android is connected to the same router as the DVR. Trying to connect with Cloud SerialNo on a android device on the same network as your DVR will be unsuccessful. To view your DVR on an android device at the DVR location and a remote location 2 DVR entries must be created.

To Connect android device to DVR on a local Network go to step (4).

To Connect android device to DVR on a remote Network go to step (7).

To Connect android device to DVR on a local network.

You will need the DVR powered on with a monitor to gather information for remote viewing setup.

First with the DVR at home live camera viewing screen right click to select Main Menu.

Then login if prompted

At the main Menu Screen Click on System

At the Main Menu > System Screen Click Network

In the Network Screen we need the second entry, IP Address.

In the vMEyeSuper add device screen Name Your DVR (example: HomeDVRlocal, BusinessDVRLocal).

Add Local to the end of the DVR name to remember this is for viewing your DVR at the DVR's location.

Choose connection IP/Domain and enter IP Address Found in Step (4).

Enter 34567 for port

enter the DVR's username and password. By Default admin is username and no password is used to login to the system, You can leave these as is.

Select the maximum number of cameras your DVR supports and tap OK on the top right.

After Clicking OK vMEyeSuper will attempt to connect to your DVR. If all information is entered correctly vMEyesuperw will start to display you first camera on the DVR. Continue to (7) to add remote viewing to your vMEyeSuper.

To Connect android device to DVR on a remote network.

You will need the DVR powered on with a monitor to gather information for remote viewing setup.

First with the DVR at home live camera viewing screen right click to select Main Menu.

Then login if prompted

The Main Menu is now open. Hover the mouse over Info icon and Click on info icon.

The Info Menu is now open. Click on Version to find the Cloud SerialNo for the DVR.

With Info > Version Open we want the entry SerialNo

In the vMEyeSuper add device screen Name Your DVR (example: HomeDVRlocal, BusinessDVRLocal).

Add Local to the end of the DVR name to remember this is for viewing your DVR at the DVR's location.

Choose connection IP/Domain and enter IP Address Found in Step (4).

Select the maximum number of cameras your DVR supports and tap OK on the top right.

After Clicking OK vMEyeSuper will attempt to connect to your DVR. If all information is entered correctly vMEyesuperw will start to display you first camera on the DVR. Remember that Cloud SerialNo only works outside the network your DVR is running on. To Connect to DVR on same network we must use the DVR's IP Address on your network to setup remote access.
